The nationwide Deutschlandticket is available for 58 euros per month and only as a subscription with monthly cancellation options. The federal and state governments have laid down special regulations for the Deutschlandticket. The Deutschlandticket is not freely available from ticket machines and must be applied for. Accordingly, a contract is concluded between the transport company and the passenger, including the transmission of personal details (address, bank details, etc.). 

This results in lead times, e.g. for

• the recording and further processing of customer data (the Deutschlandticket is a personal subscription including the conclusion of a contract; the effort for data recording is also incurred when applying for a mobile phone ticket)
   
• the logistical effort (chip card order and chip card delivery to the transport company, writing and printing of the chip cards)
   
• the dispatch of chip cards to customers (must be taken into account in the order/registration deadline)
